I knew the Romney campaign was in trouble when he chose Paul Ryan as his Vice President. He didn't need a "numbers cruncher" as a running mate, he needed a street fighter, who could take on Obama and Biden where they live, in the gutter. He should have chosen someone like Rubio, Christie, Gingrich, West, or Condoleezza Rice (not so much a street fighter, but a strong, intelligent woman with outstanding foreign policy credentials). But, he didn't. It just wasn't in his nature.
Perhaps, if this country can withstand another four years of an Obama presidency, we will finally wake up to the danger such a left wing ideologist presents to our Republic, and elect a man or woman of courage and integrity, who understands and appreciates the unique role that America has to play in the world.
